STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS

In February 2006, after a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP), Architecture Plus, Inc. was selected to create a concept plan for streetscape improvements along 10th Street between J Street and S. Morton Boulevard, and I Street between 6th Street and Downey Avenue. The streetscape now includes both sides of 10th Street and I Street, and the radius at each street corner.

The Concept Plan utilizes the Downtown Modesto Streetscape Standard Specifications and includes all elements of the specifications, including streetscape hardware and landscaping.

WAYFINDING SIGNAGE

The Agency approved the construction and placement of downtown wayfinding signs as a result of the strategies outlined in the 2005-2009 Implementation Plan.
